Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking your tour with Make My Packages. By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

Overview & Scope

These terms are effective from December 1, 2019, covering tours organized by Make My Packages Tours Private Limited. We operate various divisions including Chota Break, My Fair Lady, Honeymoon Special, Second Innings, Marigold, Prince Charming, and Students Special for both domestic and international tours. Tours are organized with independent contractors providing hotels, transport, airlines, restaurants, and sightseeing services.

Booking Requirements

Guest signature on booking form or initial payment constitutes acceptance of all terms. One signature on group bookings binds all travelers. Registration amount is non-refundable and interest-free. Minimum 20 guests required for tour to proceed (must be booked 30+ days before departure). Special services not provided in group tours. Disabled travelers/senior citizens must be accompanied by qualified companions at their own cost.

Payment Terms

Registration amount due at booking. Full tour cost due 45 days before departure. 18% annual interest charged on delayed payments. Foreign currency payments required before visa processing. All taxes excluded from quoted prices. Airport taxes, fuel surcharges, visa fee increases borne by guests. Service charges apply for online/credit card payments. INR 300 penalty for dishonored checks.

Documentation Requirements

Passport must be valid 180-365 days from tour conclusion with sufficient blank pages. Loss of passport on tour is guest's responsibility. Children under 18 need NOC, custody certificates, or adoption certificates. Company facilitates visa documentation and submission only. Visa approval solely at embassy/consulate discretion. No refund if visa denied or delayed. Photo identification required for all domestic travel.

Transportation & Airlines

Seat allocation based on booking date. Front 4 seats reserved for tour leaders/priority bookings (extra charge). Strict no smoking, no alcohol, no eating policy in vehicles. Guest responsible for all personal baggage. Company not responsible for flight overbooking, baggage loss, delays/cancellations, or seating allocation. Guests pay additional costs for flight delays/cancellations/missed connections.

Accommodation & Meals

Twin sharing in standard rooms as default. Third bed often a roll-away mattress. Families of four typically given two rooms. Check-in typically 12 noon (India) or 3 PM (international); check-out 10 AM (India) or 12 noon (international). Pre-set menus with mostly vegetarian food. Jain food available. No special meals or diets provided for individuals. No meals at airports or on flights.

Tour Modifications

Company reserves right to change itinerary for force majeure or unavoidable circumstances. Guests pay additional charges for changes. Refunds only for specific missed services, not general compensation. Tours may be merged when minimum guest criteria not met. Deviations permitted at company's discretion with advance payment. Tour dates confirmed one month prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy

Written application required with tour details and receipts. Cancellation charges scale based on days before departure. Refunds within 10 working days in INR only, no interest. Company can cancel without assigning reasons (15+ days notice). Visa rejection deemed cancellation unless reapplication notified within 24 hours. No refund for force majeure. 100% cancellation for no show on Day 1.

Insurance Coverage

Insurance not included unless mandatory for destination. Guests advised to obtain adequate overseas travel insurance. Mandatory for most European countries, Egypt, Dubai tours. Company facilitates insurance up to age 59; additional charges for older guests. Company not liable for insurance claim settlements. Insurance companies don't insure baggage.

Health & Medical

Guests acknowledge being medically fit for tour. Company may request medical fitness certification. Guest responsible for health emergencies and medical expenses on tour. MD fitness certificate required if suffering disease at booking. Death arrangements (certificates, postmortem, repatriation) responsibility of accompanying guests/relatives. Medical fitness certificates required for certain tours.

Rights & Liabilities

Company reserves right to refuse admission, amend/alter/withdraw tours, change discounts, use guest photographs for promotion, and terminate bookings for non-compliance. Company NOT liable for acts of independent contractors, flight/train delays, force majeure, baggage loss by third parties, personal injury, missed sightseeing, or any loss exceeding total tour amount paid.

Guest Responsibilities

Read, understand, and accept all terms before booking. Carry all required documents and valid travel papers. Check emails/SMS regularly for updates. Arrive 3-4 hours before flight departure. Abide by all local laws and hotel/coach policies. Take care of personal belongings and baggage. Pay directly for porter services, additional hotel facilities, and tips. Not invite external guests on tour.

Important Notes

  • A "Day" means any part of a day or 24 hours, with tours starting/ending at any time based on transport arrival
  • Force Majeure covers uncontrollable events like war, natural disasters, epidemics, riots, government actions, and contractor cancellations
  • Online bookings processed through Mumbai office with exclusive Mumbai court jurisdiction
  • Refunds paid in INR only via A/C payee check or bank transfer within 10 working days
  • Company operates as tour coordinator/facilitator rather than service provider
